Our Story

Since she started her first garden with her parents in 2010, Elizabeth’s interest in gardening has grown steadily. She has pursued numerous herbal and medicinal plants certifications. Elizabeth is also a Master Gardener and a certified School Garden Coordinator. In addition to her work with plants, Elizabeth holds a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from George Mason University and a Post Master’s from The University of Richmond. She continues to advocate for equal access to plant preparations and education for youth.

Elizabeth lives on a quarter acre in the city of Richmond in her home state of Virginia. She and her husband raise their children to appreciate the seed to table process and to understand that plants have many uses. Elizabeth has been pregnant every year since 2016 and has welcomed five children earth-side. Her pregnancies and deliveries have compelled her to connect with and support folks on their journey with pregnancy, birth, and parenting.

Elizabeth’s mission remains to honor the Earth, the plants, and the individual by acknowledging and honing the connection between them. She offers herbal preparations, to include balms, lotion bars, oxymels, salves, tonics, and tinctures. The plants are either certified organic, ethically wildcrafted by Elizabeth, or homegrown with love and without chemicals.
